Small Info About the Strand
HUMSS stands for “Humanities and Social Sciences,” which means it covers not just political science but literature, anthropology, philosophy, linguistics, communication and psychology. Andin (2011) states that studying HUMSS doesn’t automatically mean you plan on becoming a politician or lawyer; you can also be a writer, a counselor or even a broadcaster. Humanities and social sciences provides a set of skills for a broad range of professional fields, including business, communication, education, law, medicine, politics, and psychology, among others.
